We woke up to the awful news of the attack in Manchester. Our hearts and prayers go out to affected families, the people of Manchester, and the U.K. Violence to innocent humans is unacceptable in any way, shape, or form and for any reason. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be.
Based on our blogs, I’m sure you know we are currently safe. We did review our safety and action plans. If an event takes place in Europe, students are required to digitally check in with me and their parents. If an event occurs in the country we are visiting (but not city) students are required to check in with me, return to hotel, and then check-in with parents. If an event occurs in the city we are studying, students are required to find shelter and contact me first for instructions before moving toward hotel or checkpoint. First and foremost, we will follow the advice given by On Call and TCU.
I share all of this to let you know we have a plan of action. All students are safe, out and about completing tasks, and loving the beautiful process of experiential learning.
